Book a one-way trip to ‘wow’ brows, cos we’ve just put a whole new slant on brow shaping.
Introducing the brow weave.
What is a brow weave and how is done?
The technique used is micro-pigmentation, cosmetic tattooing and also known as dermal-pigmentation is a process whereby completely natural pigments are implanted beneath the epidermis (top layer of skin), into the dermal layer (second layer of skin), by micro insertion. This technique has been medically developed and specifically designed for a safe permanent application.
The pigments used have been specially formulated for cosmetic application. Not to be compared with traditional tattooing, in which permanent skin dyes and inks are placed into the skin.
Who would benefit from a brow weave?
Those who:
•Want to save time each day.
•Have to look their best in the professional world.
•Have sparse, or very light eyebrows.
•Are allergic to make-up.
•Have ultra-sensitive eyes.
•Wear contact lenses.
•Have sparse lashes.
What other procedures are offered?
•Eyebrows
•Eyeliner (top and / or bottom)
•Lipliner
Are weave procedures painful?
Not at all, if you can handle the sensation of having your eyebrows plucked, you most certainly can handle this.
How long does the procedure take?
Times vary according to the individual's sensitivity, hydration, density, elasticity, and overall condition of the skin. Allowing time for anesthetics to take effect, implanting of the pigment, and some final fine tuning of the procedure, average time for the initial procedure length can take from 2-2.5 hours.
What does a procedure involve?
Your first step will be to come into the office for a free consultation where we discuss the procedures you are interested in and address any specific needs you may have.
The cosmetic pigments are made from completely natural ingredients, and disposable sterile needles and surgical gloves are used for each procedure. A patch test may be done at this time to determine sensitivity to pigment.
On your procedure day you and the artist will select colors and discuss makeup application. Much time is spent drawing patterns for eyebrow and lip procedures. This pattern is very important and acts as a guide for the artist to follow while applying the permanent makeup.
Each procedure includes a post-procedure visit that will occur 4-6 weeks after the original procedure. At this time, any areas that need to have some pigment added will be treated. Photographs will be taken before and after the procedure, then again after the final visit.
How many appointments will be necessary?
Four to six weeks after the initial application, a follow-up visit may be required to perfect the lines or color. This visit does not require as much time as the initial procedure. There is no additional charge for this visit.
Is there downtime?
Some of our clients have come in for permanent eye liner, eyebrows, or lip lines and have gone into work that same afternoon.
